Assistant Electrical Superintendent (Solar)

Location: Full-time onsite jobsite in Pekin, Illinois, with travel required to multiple project sites. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Salary: $90,000–$117,000 per year

Infrastructure services provider designing, building, and maintaining utility-scale solar, battery storage, and high-voltage substation projects across the United States.

What you will do

• Supervise electrical construction activities from preconstruction through site build-out, commissioning, turnover, and close-out.
• Coordinate electrical subcontractors, testing agencies, commissioning teams, multiple crews, and direct-hire field personnel.
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, schedules, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation with project and engineering teams.
• Support CPM schedules, material and equipment tracking, cost-control documentation, daily reports, work orders, and invoice approvals.
• Enforce safety, quality, and workmanship standards, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, OSHA requirements, and electrical safety practices.
• Lead field teams, mentor foremen and crew members, identify future field leaders, and act as a liaison with owners and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Approximately 5 years of field construction experience at a supervisory level.
• Experience with utility-scale solar construction, PV systems, DC cable systems, and underground AC/DC feeder installations.
• Experience with cable pulling through conduits and bores, direct-buried feeders, and inverter skid installation, terminations, and testing.
• Knowledge of OSHA laws, NFPA 70E, NEC standards and codes, scheduling, planning, expediting, and cost control.
• Experience with electrical testing and commissioning; utility-scale solar commissioning experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, willingness to travel, and U.S. work authorization without employer sponsorship are required.
