Senior Safety Specialist (Renewable Energy)

Location: Roscoe, Texas, United States; preferably based in Texas and co-located at one of the sites. The role requires travel to operating sites and the training center approximately 50% of the time.

Salary: $92,000–$110,000 USD annual base pay, plus eligibility for an annual cash bonus.

What you will do

• Develop, deliver, and maintain technical and safety training for renewable energy operations.
• Conduct classroom and on-the-job training for field technicians covering component theory, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to create course content aligned with technician qualification standards.
• Design skills enhancement and continuous improvement strategies for technician knowledge and performance.
• Coordinate renewable energy training processes and third-party training vendors.
• Support site safety activities, including audits and incident investigations.

Requirements

• At least five years of practical experience in electrical generation, including renewable energy.
• Technical education or equivalent experience through trade school, instructor certification, military training, or journeyman training.
• Experience developing and delivering technical training, with the ability to engage adult learners across different learning styles.
• Extensive knowledge of renewable energy platforms and components, electrical schematics, and mechanical environments.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA requirements, safety programs, standards, and codes, with the ability to interact with regulatory agencies.
• Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time and work from a Texas-based site. Strong communication, presentation, prioritization, and independent and collaborative work skills are required.
