Intern, Internal Audit (AI)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global Place New York, 225 Liberty Street, New York City

Compensation: $25 per hour USD

hirify.global is a diversified business organization whose Internal Audit function provides independent assurance and consulting across its businesses.

What you will do

• Participate in walkthroughs covering business processes, risks, systems, and controls.
• Perform and document control-testing procedures, organize evidence, and prepare review-ready workpapers.
• Analyze structured and unstructured information from spreadsheets, reports, policies, contracts, invoices, and other records.
• Help design and test AI-enabled workflows for document review, classification, summarization, evidence extraction, and control testing.
• Review AI-generated results for accuracy, completeness, source support, and consistency.
• Develop or enhance Excel workpapers, audit trackers, testing matrices, dashboards, and management reports.

Requirements

• Be a rising junior or senior by summer 2027 and be enrolled in a related business, data science, computer science, engineering, or similar degree program.
• Recommended cumulative GPA of 3.5 and previous office experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Interest in internal audit, consulting, risk management, technology, artificial intelligence, or asset management.
• Experience with large language models, prompt design, or workflow automation; exposure to data analytics or visualization tools is advantageous.
• Must work onsite in New York City throughout the internship. Work visa sponsorship is not offered.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, or similar data analytics and visualization platforms.
• Programming or data analytics experience.
