Los Angeles Internal Audit and Financial Advisory Intern - 2027

Location: Los Angeles, California; hybrid model with in-person work in the local office and on client sites. Interns must be available to work in the designated location during business hours for the full internship and may travel locally or out of state based on client needs.

Hourly rate: $28–$38 per hour.

What you will do

• Collaborate with client-facing teams to deliver internal audit and financial advisory solutions.
• Support business process audits by evaluating processes, risks, controls, compliance, governance, and operational effectiveness.
• Support technology audit engagements covering cybersecurity, AI risk, data governance, cloud, privacy, software development, resilience, and technology governance.
• Analyze data and information in multiple formats to identify insights and actionable conclusions.
• Apply AI tools, automation technologies, Power BI, Python, and Microsoft Office in analytical and research tasks.
• Participate in onboarding, training, professional development, and cross-industry project experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Authorization to work in the United States for hirify.global without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Expected to be within one year of final graduation at the time of the internship.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking, analytical ability, and effective teamwork.
• Technical proficiency relevant to the assigned capability area, including data analysis, internal audit concepts, and control or compliance frameworks.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of the internship.

Nice to have

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Interest or experience in Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform, Python, advanced analytics, or automation.
• Entry-level knowledge of software development practices and methodologies.
• Relevant internal audit, emerging technology, data analysis, or professional certification experience.
