Boston Internal Audit and Financial Advisory Intern (AI)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Hybrid work combines in-person work in the local hirify.global office and on client sites with remote work; local or out-of-state travel may be required. Interns must be available to work in the designated location during business hours for the entire internship.

Hourly rate: $28–$38 per hour.

What you will do

• Support client engagements across Business Process Audit and Advisory or Technology Audit and Advisory.
• Assess business processes, risks, controls, regulatory compliance, privacy, and corporate governance.
• Analyze data and information in different formats to identify insights and actionable conclusions.
• Support technology risk work involving cybersecurity, AI risk, data governance, cloud, software development, resilience, and technology governance.
• Collaborate with engagement teams and contribute to client-focused solutions for complex business challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, computer science, data science, engineering, finance, information systems, information technology, management information systems, or a related field.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for hirify.global without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be within one year of final graduation at the time of the internship.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills, strong academic performance, critical thinking, analytical ability, and effective teamwork.
• Technical proficiency aligned with the assigned capability area and an understanding of internal audit processes, frameworks, and audit objectives.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of the internship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform, or Python.
• Entry-level knowledge of software development practices and methodologies.
• Interest in professional certifications, advanced analytics, automation, and applying AI tools with human judgment.
