Tampa Internal Audit and Financial Advisory Intern - 2027

Location: Tampa, Florida, United States; hybrid work with in-person work in local offices and on client sites, including possible local or out-of-state travel. Interns must be available to work in the designated location during business hours for the entire internship.

What you will do

• Collaborate on client engagements and deliver client-focused solutions to complex business problems.
• Support Business Process Audit and Advisory projects by evaluating processes, risks, controls, compliance, governance, and operational effectiveness.
• Support Technology Audit and Advisory projects covering cybersecurity, AI risk, data governance, cloud, privacy, software development, resilience, and technology governance.
• Analyze data and information in multiple formats to identify insights and actionable conclusions.
• Apply AI tools, automation technologies, data visualization, and other modern technologies to improve delivery and insight quality.
• Participate in training, onboarding, professional development, and cross-industry project experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Authorization to work in the United States for hirify.global without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Graduation within one year of the final graduation date at the time of the internship.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking, creativity, and analytical problem-solving ability.
• Technical proficiency relevant to the assigned capability area, including internal audit processes, data analysis, Microsoft Office, and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Entry-level knowledge of software development practices and methodologies, with the ability to work effectively both independently and in teams.

Nice to have

• Interest or experience in advanced analytics and automation tools such as Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform, and Python.
• Experience using AI tools with human judgment to improve efficiency and client outcomes.
• Progress toward professional certifications.
• Strong academic background and experience interpreting data to produce actionable insights.
