Automated Test Equipment Systems Engineer, Journeyman (Avionics)

Location: Onsite in Pax River, Maryland, at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. U.S. citizenship and an active Secret Security Clearance are required.

Salary: $130,000–$144,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide systems engineering support for avionics support equipment, Automatic Test Equipment, and Test Program Sets within the PMA-260 program office.
• Develop requirements, technical plans, systems engineering products, trade studies, task analyses, and technical documentation.
• Integrate engineering disciplines and technical inputs into support equipment and avionics system designs.
• Ensure supportability, integrated diagnostics, testability, reliability, maintainability, safety, quality, and operational readiness.
• Analyze fault detection and isolation, false alarm rates, built-in test requirements, test points, and ATE hardware needs.
• Represent PMA-260 at technical conferences, brief management, resolve complex engineering issues, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university.
• At least three years of recent and relevant experience.
• Professional knowledge of systems engineering principles and avionics support equipment development programs.
• Knowledge of avionics systems, Automatic Test Equipment, Test Program Sets, integrated diagnostics, and avionics system testability.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen, complete a government background investigation, and hold an active Secret Security Clearance.
