Lead Installation Engineer (Offshore/Subsea)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; mainly based at the company's Lisbon premises. Occasional international business trips, site assignments, vessel mobilisations, and offshore installation campaigns may be required.

What you will do

• Lead Installation & Construction engineering activities for Transport & Installation packages across projects, tenders, and engineering studies.
• Act as the main technical focal point and coordinate delivery against project requirements, schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives.
• Review the installability and constructability of subsea products, tooling, equipment, and temporary installation aids.
• Interface with project management, clients, engineering packages, suppliers, procurement, and operational teams.
• Manage engineering scope, schedule, budgeted hours, progress, costs, performance, contractual queries, variations, and changes.
• Lead constructability, readiness, engineering, design, risk assessment, and Product HAZID reviews while supporting offshore execution.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in offshore or subsea installation.
• Strong technical knowledge of Subsea Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines (SURF), offshore vessel operations, umbilical installation, flexible pipe laying, and offshore lifting.
• Experience with risk assessment, mitigation management, and Management of Change.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and coach graduate and junior engineers.
• Strong organisational, leadership, stakeholder-management, and Microsoft Office skills; valid BOSIET or equivalent offshore certification when required. Fluent English is required.
