E2E RAN Planning Engineer

Location: Hybrid work in Lisboa - Expo, VNG - Lake Towers, or Fundão, Portugal

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain radio access networks for performance, coverage, and capacity.
• Conduct RF planning and propagation modeling to define cell sites and antenna configurations.
• Analyze network performance data and optimize network parameters, KPIs, and capacity.
• Develop network expansion plans to support increasing demand and improve coverage.
• Coordinate with network operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, specifications, and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in RAN planning and engineering.
• Strong understanding of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G cellular network technologies.
• Proficiency with RF planning and propagation modeling tools such as Atoll or Planet.
• Experience with network performance optimization and RAN parameters and KPIs.
• Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, autonomy, and problem-solving skills.
