Location: Daily onsite presence at the Samsung Washington, DC office; the role supports engagement across the United States, including federal, state, and local political levels.
Base pay range: $182,000–$290,000 USD annually, plus incentive opportunities.

What you will do
- Build and strengthen relationships with members of Congress, the Executive Branch, governors, and relevant government agencies.
- Execute the legislative agenda covering semiconductor manufacturing incentives, R&D tax credits, export controls, supply chain resilience, tariffs, and critical minerals policy.
- Coordinate congressional meetings, industry events, site visits, PAC fundraisers, advocacy campaigns, and political engagement programs.
- Monitor significant legislation, regulations, CHIPS Act funding decisions, and policy developments, reporting their potential impact to senior management and business teams.
- Coordinate with Public Policy, communications, semiconductor, foundry, and business teams on technology priorities and government opportunities.
- Represent Samsung at trade association, government, coalition, and industry stakeholder meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; a Juris Doctor or graduate degree is preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in an advocacy role, preferably in the semiconductor, technology, or trade ecosystem.
- Previous experience working with US government officials required.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor policy issues, including trade, export controls, energy, tax incentives, national security, critical minerals, and appropriations.
- Familiarity with products, foundry operations, memory chips, and manufacturing strategy.
- Demonstrated stakeholder relationship-building, teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with CHIPS Act implementation or export control policy.
- Juris Doctor or another graduate degree.
