TL;DR
Vice President, U.S. Government Affairs: Lead 's U.S. government affairs strategy through policy advocacy, executive advising, and external engagement with an accent on federal and state lobbying, legislative campaign design, and managing consultants and matrix teams. Salary: $999.00-$999,999.00 (annual salary range for US locations)

What you will do
- Serve as trusted adviser to the SVP, Global Government Affairs and Executive Team on U.S. government affairs.
- Recruit, train, and manage staff leading lobbying across U.S. federal and relevant state governments on policy issues including tax, trade, export controls, telecommunications, lectual property, workforce development, emerging technologies, advanced manufacturing, and national security.
- Develop strategic government engagements, create advocacy materials and background documents, and coordinate executive interactions with policymakers.
- Direct activities of consultants and law firms and coordinate external engagement with trade associations, NGOs, think tanks, and partners.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state registration and lobbying disclosure laws for interactions with U.S. government officials.
- Build relationships with federal authorities and key policymakers; represent in trade associations and government-facing forums.
Requirements
- 15+ years of combined experience across Congress, the Executive Branch, the national security enterprise/defense industry, plus relevant leadership experience in industry.
- 10+ years of experience in a government affairs position in industry or other employment, including lobbying elected officials, policymakers, government agency heads, and trade associations.
- 10+ years of experience managing relationships with lobbyists/consultants and shaping positive public opinion.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (JD, MBA, MPA, MPP) highly desirable.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance or willingness to apply for one.
- Willingness to travel as needed for government and industry engagements.
