Applications & Process Engineer (Membrane Technology)

Location: Remote in the UK, Spain, Italy, France, or Germany. Monday–Friday, 8:00–17:00. Travel up to approximately 20–25% with a valid passport.

What you will do

• Design UF, RO, EDI, and FEDI membrane treatment systems, including process calculations and performance modeling.
• Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, equipment lists, and proposal-level design packages.
• Analyze water chemistry to optimize performance and mitigate fouling and scaling.
• Support sales teams with technical proposals and customer discussions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Product Management, and Operations.
• Assist with piloting, product validation, and technical training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience applying membrane systems in industrial or municipal water processes, including system selection, sizing, and integration.
• Process engineering experience interpreting water analyses for membrane selection and operating conditions.
• Experience with membrane sizing tools such as ROSA, WAVE, or IMSDesign.
• Ability to prepare engineering documentation and communicate effectively with customers.
• English is required; Spanish and Portuguese are advantages.
