Sr. Staff Strategic Power Conversion Technologist (Power Electronics)

Location: Catania, Italy; onsite, with remote work not available

Salary: €70,000–€95,000 gross annual pay, plus bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Shape strategic product and technology roadmaps for power distribution architectures from rack bus bars to ASIC voltage regulators.
• Engage with leading customers to identify emerging system challenges and requirements.
• Model, simulate, and analyze power converters and complete power distribution architectures.
• Evaluate technology options, architectural tradeoffs, manufacturing flows, and process requirements for advanced 3D heterogeneous power packaging.
• Lead feasibility studies, write detailed specifications, and drive early prototypes with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Define methodologies and tools for tracking KPIs and factors of merit while building alignment around the technology roadmap.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in high-performance power conversion, including theoretical design, modeling, and system implementation.
• Experience with magnetic design, passive component selection, power device and driver interactions, system-level optimization, and thermal design.
• MSEE or PhD in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant experience in power electronics, power conversion, PDN design, or system architecture.
• Strong engineering depth and executive-level communication skills.
• Experience with tools such as Ansys Q3D, SiWave, Icepak, Maxwell, Simplis, Simetrix, Cadence Allegro, or Altium.
