26-27 High School Special Education Teacher (ESE/Learning Specialist)

Location: Miami, Florida, USA. Onsite, full-time role.

Salary: $55,000–$62,500 per year, with up to $4,000 annually in performance-based pay.

What you will do

• Teach inclusive classes alongside general education teachers and provide small-group, parallel, or one-to-one instruction.
• Use multisensory strategies, specialized instruction, accommodations, and modifications based on student disabilities.
• Write and update IEPs, coordinate IEP meetings, and ensure services and recommendations are delivered.
• Track academic and IEP progress through weekly and quarterly assessments, portfolios, and performance data.
• Develop corrective action plans and communicate student academic and behavioral progress to families and school stakeholders.
• Collaborate with students, families, teachers, social workers, paraprofessionals, and student support teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Florida ESE Teaching Certification required.
• Subject matter expertise and at least two years of teaching experience.
• Demonstrated ability to support students from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.
• Successful classroom track record and a collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
• Ability to perform the role’s physical duties, including standing, walking, climbing stairs, and occasional lifting.
