Mid-Level Industrial Designer

Location: Full-time onsite role at the studio in Bray, Co. Wicklow, Ireland, near Dublin.

What you will do

• Design and develop consumer electronics and similar products for mass production.
• Conduct research, identify insights, and create product concepts across multiple industries.
• Build design narratives connecting brand values, audiences, and product experiences.
• Present concepts and strategies to clients and collaborate with designers, engineers, researchers, and prototypers.
• Develop concepts from crafted and digital explorations through working prototypes and design for manufacture.
• Apply sustainability, strategic thinking, and strong aesthetic judgment to product development.

Requirements

• Excellent portfolio demonstrating industrial design skills, thinking, and methodology.
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design and ideally two years of professional experience in a design consultancy or agency.
• Fluent hand sketching and craft modelling skills, with strong three-dimensional design knowledge.
• Experience with Rhino, SolidWorks, KeyShot, or similar tools, plus proficiency in Miro, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain and advocate for design ideas and strategies.
• Understanding of engineering, manufacturing requirements, industry trends, and emerging technologies including AI, machine learning, generative AI, and XR.
