Senior Structural Engineer (10+ Years)

Location: Hybrid work schedule at the Woodland Hills, California office, USA

Base salary: $120,000–$150,000+ per year, based on experience; paid overtime and discretionary year-end bonus.

What you will do

• Perform and oversee structural analysis, design, and detailing for commercial and institutional building projects.
• Design steel, concrete, and wood structures and produce coordinated structural drawings.
• Collaborate with architects, owners, contractors, engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Lead project teams and maintain effective communication throughout design.
• Interface with contractors during construction to minimize complications and support positive project results.
• Manage project profitability, client relationships, and department growth objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience designing concrete, steel, and timber structures.
• B.S. degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• PE or SE registration in any U.S. state.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within larger project teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on a hybrid schedule from the Woodland Hills, California office.

Nice to have

• California Structural Engineer registration.
• M.S. degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Multidiscipline project management experience.
• Experience with DSA and OSHPD.
• Experience with 3D modeling software such as ETABS, RISA, and SAFE.
