What you will do

• Lead structural design teams from schematic design through bid-phase services.
• Review structural documents for conflicts with other disciplines and coordinate multidisciplinary design work.
• Prepare structural specifications, select materials and procedures, and complete design calculations.
• Coordinate design development and contract document phases to deliver project documents on schedule.
• Participate in code-compliance reviews with governing agencies and conduct project-site work sessions.
• Manage addenda, requests for information, change proposals, and change orders with affected disciplines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• At least 10 years of structural engineering experience related to building design.
• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the position’s location, such as a PE or P.Eng.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE, or similar analytical software.
• Experience with design calculations and layouts, including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures.
• Understanding of gravity and lateral analysis and prior experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
