Technology Director – Enterprise Services & Business Platforms

Location: Hybrid role based at the Saint Petersburg, Florida corporate office, with an expectation to work in the office 3 days per week.

What you will do

• Lead multiple engineering teams and technology leaders across geographically distributed locations.
• Set technology strategies and roadmaps aligned with business priorities, enterprise architecture, modernization, and organizational goals.
• Own architecture, engineering, delivery, production stability, resiliency, scalability, and technical health across the application portfolio.
• Modernize legacy applications toward API-first, event-driven, modular, and cloud-ready architectures while reducing technical debt.
• Drive engineering excellence through automation, CI/CD, DevSecOps, automated testing, observability, and measurable standards.
• Manage capacity, vendors, investment decisions, production incidents, executive escalations, and the development of technology leaders.

Requirements

• More than 15 years of general technology experience and 10–15 years of management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Significant leadership experience managing multiple engineering teams supporting large-scale, business-critical enterprise platforms.
• Strong SDLC experience spanning architecture, engineering, modernization, delivery, and production operations.
• Experience designing and operating Java/Spring Boot API and microservices platforms, integration frameworks, distributed systems, and full-stack solutions.
• Ability to work from the Saint Petersburg, Florida corporate office 3 days per week; the role is not eligible for work visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Financial-services, wealth-management, client-onboarding, or enterprise-services technology experience.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, Machine Learning, agentic programming, RAG, embeddings, vector search, prompt engineering, model evaluation, or guardrails.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering to improve development, modernization, testing, troubleshooting, or production operations.
