Director Engineering - Team Lead (AI)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid with onsite work required 2–3 days per week

Annual base salary: $176,600–$294,300, plus a 20% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Define and execute the platform vision for reusable, scalable data access, segmentation, activation, and integration capabilities.
• Architect cloud-native systems for AI-driven and agentic workflows, real-time decisioning, orchestration, and automated optimization.
• Build data pipelines, APIs, services, and activation frameworks supporting scalable AI/ML use cases and continuous learning.
• Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team while maintaining ownership of architecture and critical technical decisions.
• Own end-to-end delivery from architecture through deployment and adoption, establishing CI/CD, automation, and reliability practices.
• Partner with Product, Data, Marketing, external platforms, and executive stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated leadership and mentoring of highly technical teams.
• Expertise in cloud environments, data platforms, and integrations supporting media and marketing workflows.
• Experience delivering complex, cross-functional, global platform initiatives.
• Strong understanding of platform engineering, internal developer platforms, system design, reliability, security, and compliance.
• Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States.
• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with Martech or Adtech ecosystems, including DSPs, CRM, and data activation platforms.
• Exposure to AI/ML systems, real-time data pipelines, and decisioning frameworks.
• Experience in product-led, outcome-driven environments.
