Elementary School Music Teacher (Education)

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA; onsite at school from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

Salary: $56,500–$79,000+ for uncertified teachers; $60,000–$85,000+ for certified teachers, based on experience and certification status.

What you will do

• Plan and deliver rigorous, engaging lessons using provided curricula and resources.
• Create an affirming, organized, safe, and focused classroom environment.
• Analyze student work and academic data to adapt instruction and support student growth.
• Provide appropriate accommodations and modifications, maintain accurate records, and communicate with families.
• Collaborate with grade teams, general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and school leadership.
• Support school operations through events, family engagement, student supervision, field trips, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• 2+ years of full-time teaching experience preferred, particularly in an urban setting.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Pennsylvania State certification Level I or II is strongly preferred.
• Uncertified teachers must enroll in a Pennsylvania-approved certification program within one year of hire and submit transcripts for an emergency permit application.
• PA State Police, PA Child Abuse, and Cogent Federal Fingerprinting clearances must be completed before the start date.
