Fork Truck Operator (Manufacturing)

Location: Forest Park, Georgia, USA — West Facility; onsite. 12-hour rotating swing shift, 7 a.m.–7 p.m., with off-shift, weekend, and overtime work as needed.

Salary: $24.63 per hour, plus a shift differential when applicable for overnight hours.

What you will do

• Operate electric-powered forklifts and use slip-sheet units, double forks, and clamp truck attachments.
• Stage packaging materials between stock and production areas and support efficient production flow.
• Perform forklift, trailer-loading, and dock-locking safety checks; report hazards and initiate repair work orders.
• Plan and prioritize assignments, complete loading and unloading documentation, and maintain forklift and tool security procedures.
• Support changeover, startup, and shutdown processes while handling raw materials according to SDS procedures.
• Apply loading, weight-distribution, warehouse-layout, and capacity-constraint knowledge in daily operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience; resume required.
• Forklift operating capability and preferably 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Ability to follow established procedures and comply with OSHA and DOT standards.
• Ability to work flexible hours, rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
• Detail orientation, urgency, effective communication, independent prioritization, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to maintain work areas to 5S standards and complete required skill certifications and training.
