Project Engineer (Industrial Gases)

Location: Chandler, Arizona, United States. Hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days from home when not at jobsites or traveling; 10–15% domestic travel and onsite support are required during key project execution phases.

What you will do

• Own gas delivery system projects from initial proposal development through startup, commissioning, and final turnover.
• Develop technical proposals and provide maintenance support for the Commercial Liquid Bulk Sales team based on customer requirements.
• Create equipment layouts and process flow schematics using drafting or CAD knowledge.
• Coordinate contractors handling permitting, construction, manifold fabrication, piping installation, and system analytical certifications.
• Work with Customer Engineering, Asset, Product, Work Process, Equipment Support, Logistics, Sales, and Marketing teams.
• Lead safety activities through hirify.global’ Basic Safety Program and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Basic understanding of drafting or CAD for equipment layouts and system flow schematics.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, financial data analysis, and technical skills.
• Ability to understand process and customer technology and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of NFPA and CGA codes is preferred.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship, including temporary work visas or work permits.

Nice to have

• PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
• Knowledge of NFPA and CGA codes.
