Commissioning Engineer - Medium-Voltage Switchboards

Location: Finland, Denmark, Norway, Spain and Germany; rotation of 3 weeks on / 1 week off; approximately 70% or more international travel.

What you will do

• Perform start-up and commissioning activities across the medium-voltage product range.
• Assess the installation and operational condition of equipment and complete systems.
• Carry out on-site adjustments, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
• Diagnose quality, software and operating-condition issues through root cause analysis.
• Support site interventions with service engineers and technical partners.
• Document test results, prepare site intervention reports and provide basic customer training.

Requirements

• Electrotechnical qualification; a university degree is an advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience in commissioning and/or field service.
• Experience with medium-voltage power distribution systems and switchboards.
• Knowledge of Schneider Electric systems or equivalent products, protection relays, automation fundamentals and medium-voltage electrical principles.
• Strong hands-on electrical and mechanical skills, including measurement and diagnostic tools; ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• Fluent English at a minimum B2 level is mandatory. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD and power-system commissioning software is required.
