Commissioning Engineer (Automation)

Location: Poland, Estonia or Finland; the role requires willingness to travel 200+ days per year, often for 6–8 weeks at a time.

What you will do

• Commission automated cranes and related systems, including interfaces with customer systems and remote operator desks.
• Participate in the design and implementation stages of Horizontal & Yard applications.
• Report commissioning progress clearly and proactively to stakeholders.
• Work directly with customers during commissioning and maintain professional communication.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and test systems with customers, including testing phases lasting 2–3 weeks.

Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Automation or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience reading PLC code and basic understanding of PLC programming with S7 and TIA Portal.
• Basic understanding of Ethernet-based device communication and electrical drawings.
• Systematic problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies and develop existing solutions.
• Willingness to travel 200+ days per year, often for 6–8 weeks at a time.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

• Hands-on experience with project deliveries.
