Industrial Designer

Location: Onsite at the PA studio in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland

What you will do

• Lead projects and advise clients on bringing new products and experiences to life.
• Manage key client relationships, identify new business opportunities, write proposals, and support client pitches.
• Lead teams designing and developing consumer electronics and similar devices for mass production.
• Build design narratives aligned with brand values, target audiences, and user needs.
• Provide creative direction to research, design, and delivery teams while guiding strategic solutions.
• Develop holistic, sustainable user experiences and collaborate with clients and colleagues throughout delivery.

Requirements

• Senior-level industrial design experience with an excellent portfolio demonstrating design thinking and methodology.
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design and at least 3 years of professional experience.
• Fluent, confident hand sketching and craft modelling skills.
• Strong understanding of three-dimensional design, engineering, and manufacturing requirements, with proficiency in Rhino, SolidWorks, and KeyShot or similar tools.
• Proficiency in project tools such as Miro, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate and persuade others about design ideas and strategies.

Nice to have

• Experience working with consumer and healthcare brands.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies including AI, machine learning, generative AI, and XR.
• Experience in a design consultancy environment.
