Location: Pleasanton, California, United States; hybrid schedule with three days onsite and two days remote per week
Salary: $90,900–$170,100 gross annual salary for Zone A; other U.S. ranges may apply by work location. Eligible for incentive plans.

What you will do
- Provide regulatory leadership on cross-functional innovation and commercialization projects, including support for the Canada Foods business.
- Review formulations, supplier documentation, claims, ingredient statements, nutrition information, and labels for compliance.
- Interpret regulatory requirements, identify risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and provide practical guidance to R&D, Legal, Quality, Government Affairs, and Consumer Affairs.
- Support existing product lifecycle management, including formula and label updates, issue resolution, and monitoring regulatory changes.
- Lead third-party certification activities for Kosher, Halal, and Organic products, including dossiers, verification, and renewals.
- Manage state and federal food facility registrations and Kingsford product registrations.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biology, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of food regulatory experience in the consumer packaged goods industry.
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, including the FD&C Act, and Canadian regulatory frameworks covering labeling, claims, ingredients, and formulation.
- Hands-on experience with third-party certifications and state and federal registrations.
- Ability to develop regulatory strategies, assess risk, influence cross-functional teams, and navigate complex or ambiguous situations.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, independent judgment, and prioritization skills.
