Mill Operator - 3rd Shift (Printing Ink)

Location: Edwardsville, Kansas, USA; onsite, 3rd shift

What you will do

• Run ink batches using proper mill settings and follow weighing, pigment discharge, mixing, and processing procedures.
• Operate and maintain Hockmeyer mills, mixers, press-out units, pump filters, and related production equipment.
• Package finished ink in various containers, apply labels, perform canning, and support repack operations.
• Clean and maintain machines according to TPM standards, complete scheduled maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment.
• Maintain formula and processing-time records and support quality control by providing samples, making ink adjustments, and recording data.
• Operate a forklift and participate in multidisciplinary teams and daily autonomous maintenance activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED desired.
• At least 3 months of related work experience.
• Good mathematics and basic computer skills, attention to detail, reliability, and strong attendance.
• Ability to work the assigned 3rd shift and overtime when required.
• Strong autonomous maintenance background and ability to participate actively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required.

Nice to have

• Forklift experience; training is available.
• Experience with mixing, mills, or pump-filter equipment.
