DFH Foreman (Carpentry)

Location: Charlotte, NC; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Perform and supervise journeyman-level rough and finish carpentry work.
• Review project plans and blueprints and estimate time, materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Develop work schedules and crew assignments while tracking self-perform production rates.
• Manage daily job-site operations, inventories, records, work areas, and timekeeping for the crew.
• Develop and manage job hazard analyses, coordinate safety and equipment training, and ensure OSHA and hirify.global procedures are followed.
• Consult professionally with clients and contractors, resolve potential issues, and mentor and monitor employee performance.

Requirements

• Current Journeyman Carpenter license or certificate, when required by the applicable state, city, or county.
• At least 2 years of experience as a carpenter foreman or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of rough and finish carpentry, tools, equipment, materials, safety practices, and new and remodel construction techniques.
• Knowledge of masonry, concrete, steel, precast, and wood construction.
• Basic computer skills, mathematical ability, hand-to-eye coordination, strength, stamina, and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift or pull 75 lb, work on ladders, man lifts, and other equipment, and work in varied weather conditions.
