Instrumentation Technician - ICP-OES

Location: Onsite at 3260 Production Way, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Afternoon shift from 3:00pm to 11:30pm, including weekends. Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada.

Salary: Starting at CAD 20.50 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform laboratory techniques and analyses independently according to established methods and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain daily logs, equipment record books, and instrument findings.
• Record and periodically interpret results for timely review by senior colleagues.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment, including preventive maintenance and routine compliance checks.
• Support the preparation of method SOPs, validation protocols, and reports.
• Maintain laboratory inventory and a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting health and safety checks and incident reporting.

Requirements

• BSc or diploma in a science-related program, or equivalent experience or training.
• 1–3 years of relevant laboratory work experience.
• Availability for the afternoon shift from 3:00pm to 11:30pm and weekends.
• Authorization to work in Canada is required.
• Ability to follow SOPs, maintain accurate records, and perform equipment checks and troubleshooting.
