NRMA Marine operates Manly Fast Ferry and Fantasea Cruising as part of the hirify.global’s transport and tourism services in Sydney.

What you will do

• Navigate and operate vessels safely in compliance with maritime regulations and company guidelines.
• Manage vessel preparation, operation, shutdown, systems updates, paperwork, and day-to-day service readiness.
• Lead the crew, including attendance, performance, training, drills, compliance, and primary duties.
• Ensure passenger safety and satisfaction while managing vessel security threats, incidents, and emergency situations.
• Maintain vessel cleanliness, machinery, auxiliary systems, and overall operational condition.
• Promote a safe work culture through effective use and reporting within the Safety Management Systems.

Requirements

• Current Master <45m certificate and current MED2 certificate.
• Certificate of Local Knowledge for Port Jackson.
• Current First Aid Certificate and Certificate of Medical Fitness from AMSA or an equivalent authority.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Strong line handling, seamanship, vessel handling, machinery maintenance, and auxiliary systems skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, and self-motivation skills.

Nice to have

• Responsible Service of Alcohol certification.
