Senior Engineer, DRAM Applications (DRAM)

Location: Daily onsite presence at the San Jose headquarters, United States

Base pay range: $138,000–$206,000 USD annually, with additional incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Provide technical support for customers and partners, troubleshooting urgent memory-related issues and diagnosing system memory failures.
• Partner with customer engineering teams on memory validation, joint validation efforts, and self-qualification activities.
• Evaluate and validate memory-related RAS features on next-generation server CPUs.
• Create experiments and tooling to detect and diagnose memory health issues at early product stages.
• Perform DRAM signal integrity, power integrity, and timing analysis measurements using laboratory equipment.
• Document resolutions, communicate findings, and coordinate test specifications and methodologies with internal R&D and external teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related physical science with 3+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 1+ years of experience.
• Experience with DRAM memory products, modern server architectures, and components including CPUs, memory, networking, and PCIe.
• Background in signal integrity, power integrity, and timing measurements.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems, scripting languages, test automation, and data analysis.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and logic analyzers, plus lab setup and precision PCB/component rework.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for driving test plans and debugging activities.
