ELX Service Specialist – Electrolyzer Services (Hydrogen Systems)

Location: Remote within the United States; up to 100% travel to customer sites across North America, with potential international travel and short-notice callouts.

What you will do

• Perform service, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and general maintenance for electrolyzers and other hydrogen systems at customer sites.
• Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs for field equipment to improve reliability and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor equipment performance, diagnose failures, isolate root causes, and recommend design and operational enhancements.
• Interface with customers and external vendors, address concerns, and gather feedback on electrolyzer infrastructure and performance.
• Respond to urgent repair and maintenance needs, including short-notice travel and on-call support.
• Maintain strict safety standards for equipment operation and infrastructure.

Requirements

• Associate or vocational degree in engineering technology or a relevant field, or a high school diploma with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems; industrial hydrogen systems experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial hydrogen system operation, controls, electrical wiring schematics, high- and low-pressure piping, equipment specifications, and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and P&IDs, diagnose system problems, and determine root causes.
• Ability to travel extensively—up to 100%—with short notice and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication, customer service, organization, analytical, data analysis, and Microsoft Office skills.
