Field Service Engineer / Specialist - Pulp & Washing

Location: Remote regional position based in the United States; Bedford, NH listed as the location. Must be living in and legally authorized to work in the US. The role requires at least 70% travel, including up to 200 travel days per year, mostly domestic with occasional international travel. International relocation is not available.

What you will do

• Provide process and field services for pulp and paper mill equipment and products.
• Perform start-ups, commissioning, inspections, condition assessments, maintenance services, tune-ups, troubleshooting, and outage planning and execution.
• Supervise equipment maintenance, repair, rebuild, troubleshooting, and installation at customer sites.
• Advise on construction, rebuild, upgrade, and capital projects, including leading subcontractor crews.
• Diagnose technical issues and provide solutions during scheduled and emergency service shutdowns.
• Prepare service reports, develop customer relationships, and support service sales visits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• At least five years of related hands-on mechanical experience, such as maintenance mechanic, mechanical construction foreman, or technician.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
• Ability to oversee projects and manage all aspects of leading a subcontractor crew.
• Good communication, facilitation, organizational, problem-solving, and PC skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and be living in the US.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, rigging, pipefitting, millwrighting, and machining.
