SNIF Field Service Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Aurora, Ohio, USA; remote work with up to 80% domestic and international travel

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment at customer facilities and manufacturing sites.
• Support installation, startup, commissioning, maintenance, inspections, and testing of industrial equipment and engineered systems.
• Perform instrument loop checks, system safety checks, controls tuning, and system integration troubleshooting.
• Apply PLC knowledge to equipment troubleshooting, programming, design, and maintenance.
• Train customers on equipment operation and maintenance and investigate failures and complaints.
• Prepare technical reports and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales to resolve issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• Hands-on mechanical and/or electrical experience with manufacturing equipment.
• Working knowledge of PLC controls and programming.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently in the field, communicate with customers, and manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver’s license and a valid U.S. Passport or ability to obtain one; willingness to travel up to 80% is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with manufacturing equipment, industrial fuel-fired equipment, engineered systems, aluminum, primary metals, or similar industrial environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and CADD applications.
