Inplant Technician (Metal Deco Ink) (Printing)

Location: 1202 Fones Rd SE, Olympia, WA 98501, USA; full-time work at a customer's site.

Salary: $59,000–$65,000 annual, depending on experience

What you will do

• Maintain the on-site INX ink room and serve as a liaison between INX and the customer.
• Coordinate customer jobs, review schedules, evaluate production changes, and respond to service call-ins.
• Perform technical service, color matching, ink production, dispensing, and batches under 100 pounds.
• Provide press-side technical support and perform quality control tests on incoming and site-manufactured batches.
• Manage inventory, monthly consignment counts, job estimates, work-off control, reports, and accurate data entry.
• Follow all safety requirements while supporting customer operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• 2–5 years of related work experience.
• Ability to match colors effectively and pass a color vision test.
• Excellent customer service, communication, written, reading comprehension, math, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and other computer applications.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Spectrophotometer and X-Rite IQC experience.
• Technical experience with Offset Sheetfed products.
• Flexible packaging, flexographic printing, or solvent ink knowledge.
• Laboratory, inplant, warehouse, or pressroom experience.
• SAP knowledge or a college degree.
