TL;DR

Technical Office Engineer (Equipment) (Mechanical Equipment/Oil & Gas EPC): Reviewing engineering documents and supporting the installation, commissioning, and handover of static and rotating equipment on a major UAE Oil & Gas EPC project with an accent on ADNOC standards, OEM requirements, and international codes. Focus on resolving equipment installation issues, coordinating technical submittals and revisions, and ensuring alignment, grouting, preservation, testing, and document control are completed correctly.

Location: Site office in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

What you will do

Review GA, equipment layout, vendor drawings, datasheets, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
Prepare and review technical submittals, method statements, material submittals, lifting plans, RFIs, and technical queries.
Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, QA/QC, vendors, planning teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve equipment installation issues.
Verify installation compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, OEM requirements, and API, ASME, and ISO codes.
Support constructability reviews, pre-commissioning, commissioning, mechanical completion, as-built documentation, and handover dossiers.
Maintain drawing and document revision control and support material and equipment evaluation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
5–8 years of experience in mechanical equipment engineering or technical office functions within Oil & Gas EPC projects.
Strong knowledge of static and rotating equipment installation, including pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, filters, skids, and packaged equipment.
Experience with equipment alignment, grouting, torque values, preservation, testing, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
Knowledge of ADNOC standards, project specifications, Permit-to-Work requirements, and API, ASME, ISO, and OEM standards.
Strong coordination, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical reporting skills.
