TL;DR
Lead Mechanical Engineer, HVAC- Greenfield (HVAC/offshore oil and gas): Leading the design and delivery of HVAC and pressurization systems for offshore facilities across concept, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases with an accent on hazardous-area ventilation, smoke management, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Focus on coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, reviewing complex calculations and equipment designs, ensuring ADNOC and international standards compliance, and supporting vendor, construction, and commissioning activities.
Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; based at the client's office or contractor's office

What you will do
- Lead HVAC engineering activities for ADNOC Offshore Greenfield oil and gas projects across concept, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
- Develop HVAC design bases, philosophies, specifications, calculations, layouts, schematics, equipment arrangements, requisitions, and datasheets.
- Design and review HVAC and pressurization systems for offshore facilities, including control rooms, electrical buildings, telecom rooms, living quarters, workshops, warehouses, and process buildings.
- Lead and mentor HVAC engineers and designers while coordinating with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, Civil, Structural, and HSE disciplines.
- Review equipment and vendor documentation, conduct technical bid evaluations, resolve queries and deviations, and participate in supplier and contractor reviews.
- Support fabrication, construction, offshore installation, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, functional testing, performance testing, and start-up.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 15 years of Mechanical/HVAC Engineering experience.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Lead HVAC Engineer on major oil and gas projects.
- Proven experience with offshore Greenfield EPC projects and the FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction support, and commissioning phases.
- Experience with offshore HVAC design, industrial ventilation, building pressurization, chilled water and DX cooling systems, smoke control, and hazardous-area ventilation.
- Experience in ADNOC Offshore projects and GCC/Middle East projects is highly preferred.
