Focus on diagnosing field issues, coordinating installations, documenting sequences of operation, and safely working in physically demanding environments including rooftops, ladders, confined areas, and variable weather.

What you will do
- Commission, program, configure graphics and communications links, test, troubleshoot, and service assigned controls projects.
- Document point-to-point verification, sequence-of-operations validation, and job closeout requirements.
- Serve as the direct customer contact, diagnosing and repairing HVAC equipment and direct digital control systems at customer locations.
- Coordinate with team leaders and customers to understand installation and repair requirements, forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work.
- Maintain current knowledge of Trane products, installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair procedures.
- Follow strict safety standards, maintain company assets, and work overtime or occasional overnight stays as business needs require.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and typically 3–5 years of HVAC or controls experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computers such as smartphones or iPads.
- Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent recent traffic violations.
- Ability to safely operate vehicles, wear required personal protective equipment, use ladders, access rooftops, and work in confined areas.
- Ability to stand on concrete for extended periods, climb, kneel, stoop, reach overhead, and lift or move equipment weighing over 40 pounds when required.
- Safety-sensitive role that may require additional drug screening.
Nice to have
- Technical school or formal technical training.
- Previous experience with DDC control systems.
