Electrical Maintenance Technician (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: Mirfield, UK; onsite, 08:00–16:30, Monday to Friday

What you will do

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and manage work orders in SAP CMMS.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical distribution systems, motor control centres, panels, drives, field devices and instrumentation.
• Calibrate, verify and maintain process instrumentation and critical site instruments.
• Support PLC, HMI, SCADA and industrial control systems, including authorised fault diagnosis and minor modifications.
• Maintain technical drawings, schematics, SOPs, calibration records and equipment documentation.
• Support safe operation, commissioning, qualification and maintenance of critical site systems and engineering projects.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3, a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or a related discipline.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and CompEx Ex01–Ex04 Gas and Ex05–Ex06 Dust qualifications.
• Experience with industrial electrical systems, process instrumentation and control systems.
• IPAF certification and working knowledge of permit-to-work, electrical isolation, Lockout/Tagout and RAMS requirements.
• PLC fault-finding experience; Siemens experience is preferred.
• Ability to work safely in a live manufacturing environment and maintain accurate compliance documentation.

Nice to have

• City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent Inspection and Testing qualification.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, COMAH, ATEX or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Confined Space Entry and Standby Person training.
