Electrical Engineer

What you will do

• Provide support and maintenance services for Ministry of Justice, prison, and other hirify.global clients.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections, electrical installation, commissioning, and project work on control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control-system faults onsite and by phone.
• Modify and fault-find PLC and MCC control panels, identifying equipment improvements and required parts.
• Report maintenance visits and unresolved issues, propose solutions, and coordinate technical matters with customers.
• Support new starters and maintain current technical and security-vetting requirements.

Requirements

• Experience installing electrical PLC systems, including containment.
• Experience fault-finding automated control systems and modifying control panels and MCCs.
• Level 3 electrical apprenticeship.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
• Must be able to obtain SC security clearance.
• Broadband access from home is required for company intranet and file-server access.

Nice to have

• ECS Black or Gold Card.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• IPAF qualification.
