Maintenance Engineer (Automation Bias)

Location: Thetford, Norfolk, United Kingdom; rotating on-site shifts Monday–Sunday, 06:00–18:00 or 18:00–06:00

Salary: £55,166.49 per annum, plus overtime at premium rates

What you will do

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment across the site.
• Support new installations and engineering projects.
• Raise corrective and reactive maintenance dockets in Maximo.
• Review preventive maintenance procedures and recommend improvements.
• Identify site-wide improvement opportunities and escalate issues promptly.
• Deliver maintenance activities in line with GMP standards.

Requirements

• HNC or equivalent qualification in electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
• Strong competence in electrical fault finding, wiring schematics, and circuitry.
• Knowledge of PLCs, ideally including Allen Bradley, and high-level fault finding.
• Experience with control panels, automation, robotics, electrical safety, CCT, and controllers.
• Mechanical engineering knowledge, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, ideally gained in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
