Vice President - P&C Claims (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid work schedule required out of any California office; the listed office is in San Francisco, California.

Salary: $175,000–$210,000 in annual base pay, exclusive of bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Set long-range objectives and strategies for claims operations and prioritize work across the function.
• Investigate, evaluate, and settle property and casualty claims while supporting fair, prompt resolution and loss-ratio improvement.
• Resolve complex and severe-exposure claims and conduct detailed bill reviews for litigation management and expense control.
• Adjust reserves or provide reserve recommendations in line with corporate policies.
• Supervise claims adjusters, Claims Advocates, Claims Consultants, and administrative personnel.
• Coordinate with counsel on litigated claims and communicate with clients, claimants, medical specialists, employers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of brokerage claims experience, including knowledge of P&C coverages, policy forms, and brokerage claims customer service.
• Valid P&C Property Casualty Broker-Agent License.
• Juris Doctor of Law degree required.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and internet navigation.
• Ability to work independently, interact with a wide range of people, and travel independently to clients; some air travel may be required.
