What you will do
- Manage routine laboratory administration, including reagent and consumable orders, invoices, inventory checks, equipment maintenance coordination, and usage scheduling.
- Maintain procurement records, inventory logs, safety documentation, and other laboratory records.
- Communicate with research scientists, the team leader, and the function head to anticipate laboratory needs and report operational issues.
- Support a safe, tidy, and compliant laboratory environment by following institutional regulations and established safety procedures.
- Assist with routine laboratory tasks such as reagent weighing, dosing-solution preparation, sample labeling, and sample handling.
- Support supervised in vivo and in vitro procedures, including animal body-weight measurement, anesthesia assistance, dosing preparation, and post-procedure cleanup.
Requirements
- Equivalent of a bachelor’s degree, diploma, or technical training in life sciences, biomedical sciences, laboratory technology, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
- Typically 1–3 years of relevant experience in a laboratory, academic institute, research organization, or related environment.
- Basic hands-on knowledge of reagents, consumables, samples, and routine laboratory procedures.
- Experience with laboratory administration, including ordering, invoice handling, inventory tracking, documentation, and vendor coordination.
- Ability to follow protocols, standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and institutional regulations, including for routine animal-related work.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, reliability, and ability to report issues, deviations, or uncertainties and seek guidance.
