Senior Scientist (Genomics)

Location: Singapore - Woodlands - NorthCoast; occasional travel to customer sites and hirify.global locations, with customer support provided remotely and on-site as required.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, verification, and deployment of reference workflows covering library preparation, liquid-handling automation, LIMS integration, and downstream data analysis.
• Develop, optimize, script, troubleshoot, and integrate automated laboratory workflows, including Hamilton liquid-handling platforms and VENUS programming.
• Act as a subject matter expert for automation and workflow integration across instrumentation, software, assays, and processes.
• Design verification studies, analyze data, interpret results, and communicate findings to technical and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Informatics, Engineering, Operations, Commercial, and customer teams to deliver end-to-end workflow solutions.
• Develop emerging omics workflows, support customer demonstrations and training, create technical documentation, mentor colleagues, and identify opportunities for workflow innovation.

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of NGS, library preparation, automation, LIMS, and downstream analysis.
• Hands-on experience programming and troubleshooting automated liquid-handling systems; Hamilton VENUS experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of high-throughput processes and process management.
• Strong multitasking, communication, analytical, interpersonal, and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
• Typically, at least 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 3 years with a master’s degree, a PhD without experience, or equivalent experience.
• This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Hamilton systems and VENUS programming.
• Experience in proteomics, epigenetics, or spatial biology.
• Experience working with strategic customers, key opinion leaders, or commercial teams.
