Bindery Operator 2 - 12-hr Night Shift Fixed Front (7:00pm - 7:00am)

Location: Chanhassen, Minnesota, United States. Full-time onsite role on a fixed 12-hour night shift from 7:00pm to 7:00am, scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Thursday.

Salary: USD 42,412–64,542 per year. The role also lists an hourly pay range of $20.39–$31.03, plus a $2 per hour night-shift differential.

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, and operate auxiliary and automatic bindery machines, including cutters, folders, collators, stitchers, drills, binders, and gluing equipment.
• Operate multi-station finishing systems that process printed sheets into books, catalogs, manuals, directories, magazines, and other finished products.
• Coordinate and refine adjustments across multiple machine stations for different paper weights, colors, machinability, and quality requirements.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues and maintain functional operating conditions.
• Direct the production crew and monitor quality, output, and productivity.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret work orders and bindery specifications, maintain dimensional accuracy, and independently select suitable equipment.
• Ability to calculate distances, clearances, and fits when combining machines.
• Experience using standard and specialized tools to adjust and maintain bindery equipment.
• Knowledge of complex bindery machines, including perfect binders, multi-station collators, and multiple folding units.
• Knowledge of folding, collating, cutting, binding, and finishing requirements for coated and uncoated paper stock.
• Ability to set up and adjust machines to prevent machining impressions and meet finished-product quality standards.
