Associate Dean of Nursing, Academic Affairs

Location: Houston, TX, USA; full-time, onsite academic leadership role.

Salary: $70,696.34–$110,666.84 per year, adjusted based on experience, training, geographic location, licensure, certifications, market factors, budget, and responsibilities.

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day academic operations, faculty schedules, workload models, performance, and teaching standards.
• Implement BSN academic strategy and evaluate curriculum delivery, labs, simulation, workshops, and student success data.
• Recruit, select, onboard, develop, evaluate, and retain qualified visiting and full-time faculty.
• Coordinate faculty resources, clinical placement support, academic budgets, and capital requests.
• Ensure curriculum delivery meets institutional, regulatory, and accreditation standards through continuous improvement.
• Lead curriculum changes, program expansion, new academic initiatives, and collaboration with campus and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's degree in nursing required; doctoral degree in nursing preferred.
• Unencumbered professional nursing licensure required.
• At least 2 years of nursing education experience at the bachelor's level or above.
• At least 2 years of simulation and/or clinical experience development or participation.
• At least 2 years of previous leadership experience.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, conflict resolution, strategic thinking, faculty development, budget planning, and change leadership skills.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of acute patient care experience in trauma, emergency, or medical-surgical settings.
• Doctoral degree in nursing.
