Dean of Nursing

Location: San Jose, California, USA; campus-based position

Salary: USD 140,000–180,000 per year

What you will do

• Supervise, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing program activities.
• Manage the RN program budget, faculty and staff, curriculum, policies, handbooks, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain compliance with Board rules and regulations, prepare required reports and self-studies, and support site visits.
• Develop and maintain clinical-site partnerships, coordinate clinical rotations, complete approval documentation, and evaluate clinical learning environments.
• Lead faculty recruitment, orientation, meetings, performance reviews, conflict resolution, and program evaluation.
• Oversee admissions, student advising, appeals, graduation readiness, licensing-exam preparation, and Nursing Advisory Committee activities.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state where the campus is located.
• Master’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university, including coursework in nursing, education, or administration.
• At least two years of administrative experience, two years of post-licensure nursing teaching experience, and two years of direct patient-care RN experience or equivalent Board-approved experience.
• Experience with supervision, planning, budget preparation and maintenance, and program administration.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, collaboration, consensus-building, and relationship-management skills.
