Program Director of Practical Nursing

Location: Boise, Idaho, USA. This is a campus-based role requiring regular, in-person attendance up to five days per week and on-site collaboration with students, faculty, and staff.

What you will do

• Plan, manage, update, and evaluate all aspects of the practical nursing program, including budgets, policies, procedures, supplies, and equipment.
• Lead faculty and staff activities, including recruitment, hiring, orientation, supervision, conflict resolution, and performance evaluation.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum while monitoring the quality of instruction.
• Maintain compliance with nursing board, accreditor, clinical agency, and other regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate clinical site relationships and ensure students and faculty meet requirements for clinical rotations.
• Advise nursing students, provide academic support, maintain records, and participate in committees, professional associations, strategic planning, and program reviews.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a current, unencumbered nursing license in the state of employment or through compact licensure.
• Current graduate degree in Nursing.
• At least three years of teaching experience in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs.
• At least three to four years of direct patient-care experience as a registered nurse, or equivalent experience accepted by the state nursing board and accrediting bodies.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, collaboration, teamwork, facilitation, and computer skills.

• Experience in supervision, planning, and budget preparation and maintenance.
