Assistant Dean of Nursing

Salary: USD 97,000–120,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the planning, development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the BSN nursing program.
• Manage program budgets, faculty and staff activities, policies, procedures, records, and academic documentation.
• Coordinate clinical site partnerships, approvals, rotations, evaluations, staffing, safety assessments, and required reports.
• Oversee admissions, student orientation, advising, degree planning, appeals, grievances, graduation requirements, and licensing preparation.
• Participate in faculty recruitment, hiring, onboarding, meetings, performance review, strategic planning, and conflict resolution.
• Represent nursing interests across the college, maintain community relationships, conduct advisory committee meetings, and support program marketing.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state where the campus is located.
• Master’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university, including coursework in nursing, education, or administration.
• At least two years of administrative experience and two years of teaching experience in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs.
• At least two years of direct patient-care experience as a registered nurse or equivalent experience accepted by the Board.
• Leadership, supervision, planning, budget preparation, communication, consensus-building, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse people and institutions and use computer-based resources.
