HSE Engineer (Safety and Environmental Management)

Location: Lucca, Italy; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Coordinate Risk Prevention and Protection Service activities and perform ASPP responsibilities under Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008.
• Identify environmental, health, and safety hazards, assess risks, and design prevention, protection, and control measures.
• Prepare and deploy business improvement and corrective action plans.
• Conduct internal audits, Gemba walks, problem-solving investigations, and KPI reporting.
• Analyze injuries, accidents, near misses, and safety observations, documenting findings and corrective actions.
• Support worker health and safety and environmental management while driving continuous improvement against corporate HSE objectives.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within a structured company.
• Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and international safety and environmental management standards.
• Ability to analyze data, generate measures, prepare reports, work under pressure, and deliver effective business changes.
• Specialized or technical degree, preferably related to health, safety, or environmental management.
• ASPP qualifying course under Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008.
• Qualified internal auditor for one or more management systems, preferably ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or ISO 50001; good written and spoken English.
